Remember the order of the steps:
1. Speak
2. Snap
3. Point
4. Look
1. Focus on each individual student while remaining mindful of your entire drill group at all times.
2. Your energy (or lack thereof) transfers directly to your students. Remain upbeat and energetic while in session.
3. Give everyone an equal opportunity to speak. Be mindful not to favor one side of the classroom.
4. Stand tall and with an open chest. (Refrain from sitting or slouching.)
5. Make direct eye contact.
6. Communicate in German (answer questions only after session is over or refer students to their MT)
7. Be friendly but resolute. Your gestures and facial expressions are both an invitation and a charge to your students.
8. Prepare each drill lesson carefully. Choose drills that cover a variety of vocabulary, structures and forms.
9. Immediately correct grammatical errors in a friendly and efficient manner.
10. Enjoy yourself! Relax and laugh with your students. This part will get easier as you gather more experience.
